Sheldon Ray Franklin, age 51,of Dubois, PA formally of Goldsboro, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2012.  Sheldon is the beloved husband of Dell Franklin; survived by his mother; Carolyn Franklin and the late Claude Franklin; loving father of Sarah Confer (Don Confer) and April Strickland (Lynwood Strickland) and Charles Bowen (Tracie Benson).  He is survived by his sister Sonya Peters and his brother Keith Franklin and special friends Timothy Willis and Ed Sikora and Deana Bowen. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren; Deanna, Joshua & Savannah Bowen, Nikki Strickland and Dalton & John Confer.

He had a passion for riding motorcycles, collecting NASCAR items and shooting guns.The service with full military honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, located in Bridgeville on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 2:30 PM.
