Esther Louise Campana, age 82, of West Newton, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Ernani Campana; loving mother of Christine McCreary (Chuck Perry), Nicholas (Carol) Onufer, and Michael Onufer; adored grandmother of Jeffrey and Christopher (Heidi) McCreary and Amanda McCreary (Alan Sechrist), Nicholas Onufer, and Tyler (Tina) Onufer; and cherished great-grandmother of Geoffrey, Erin, Sean, Colin, and Zachary McCreary, Dallin and Shea Harris, and Isabella and Konner Onufer. She was predeceased by two beloved sisters, Mildred Kacmar and Faye Baron.
Esther enjoyed helping out at the West Newton Senior Center and deeply loved her church. However, Esther’s passion was her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the West Newton Senior Center or the Faith Lutheran Church in West Newton.
