Olin “Bunny” DePolo, 83, of Pittsburgh, passed away on June 24, 2024

Olin was born on March 9, 1941, in Connellsville, PA, to the late Evelyn and Olin DePolo.

Olin was the beloved husband of Mary Ann, the love of his life. Together, they built a beautiful family. He was the loving father to Greg (Ann) DePolo and Mike (Jackie) DePolo and Cherished grandfather to Taylor, Mia, Gavin, and Jack.

Olin was a man that made an impression on all who met him. He was proud of his 10-year career with the World Series Champion Pittsburgh Pirates and would show his World Series ring to all who asked. During his time with the Pirates, he made many lifelong friendships but had a deep connection with Willy Stargell, Chuck Tanner, and his best friend Greg Brown. Olin had a zeal for life and cherished his family and friendships, many of which spanned the decades. He even had a longstanding reunion with his Duquesne Fraternity brothers at Phi Kappa Theta. However, his greatest joy came from the time he spent cheering on his grandchildren. Whether it was attending dance recitals or sporting events, they were his true pride and joy. Olin was not just a family man, but a pillar of his community. He was proud of his Connellsville roots, loved the black and gold, and cherished his family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 10 am at St. Anne Church, 400 Hoodridge Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. At the family’s request, they ask that everyone please meet at the church on Tuesday. Burial to follow at St. Ritas Cemetery, 198 Shultz St, Connellsville, PA 15425.

The Man was wonderful. Talk about a family man, that was Mr. Depolo. He always had me and the rest of Mike's friends over for the big PPV boxing matches and he always had a smile on his face. He was a blessing to anyone who knew him Chris Taylor
