Mary Kathryn Couch

Mary Kathryn Couch, a cherished resident of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024 at the age of 80.
Born on January 16, 1944, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary Smouse. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Boulton Couch.

Mary was a devoted mother to Robert (Melissa) Couch and Peter (Jennie) Couch. She cherished her role as a sister to Bonnie (Richard) Suchenski, Jack (Suzanne) Smouse, and Ruth (Patrick) Donahue. Mary took immense joy in her role as grandmother to Ashley, Amber, Rachael, Ryan, Haylie, and Jimmie, and found great happiness in the lives of her five great-grandchildren.

Mary’s passions were rooted in her family and community. She was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on her beloved Steelers and Pirates. Her warmth and generosity touched all who knew her, and she found her greatest happiness in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Kathryn Couch will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and her unwavering support for her favorite sports teams. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
