Louis “Lou Dawg” Sauer

Louis “Lou Dawg” Sauer, age 61, of Alverton, PA, passed away doing what he loved,  riding his motorcycle on May 17, 2024.

Lou was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 16, 1963, to the late Betty Jane and John Earl Sauer.

Lou was the loving father to Jessica Sauer (David). Cherished brother to Janet (Norm) Peters, John (Fran) Sauer, Jeffrey Sauer,  and Diane (Mark) Muniz.  Lou was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lou was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Sauer.

Lou Dawg was a free-spirited rebel who loved many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, or tending to mom’s rose bush.  Lou was blessed with many friends, whether spending time at Lake Stoney Creek with his second family, the Staleys, hanging out with his best friend Dave, or shooting pool with Amy and Gary.  He truly lived life to the fullest.  He will be genuinely missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his dog, Bella, and his cat, Fat Louie.

Family and friends are welcome to a gathering on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

In lieu of flowers, his family would like you to show love and kindness to others the way Lou did.
