    Dear Short Family,

My deepest condolences to you all for your loss. Rege was always a kind man to my entire family and raised his children to be caring and selfless. Even after I moved from Pittsburgh he always opened his door and his pool to me for a relaxing cocktail and good conversation. He was also there for the Hester’s when we lost our loved ones. For that and so much more I am thankful to have known him.

    God Bless,

    Dear Short Family,

I am so heartbroken to hear of Rege’s passing. What else can I say about Rege that you don’t already know in terms of his generous spirit, loving heart, and kindness towards his family and friends. Going over to Danny’s house always meant that I would be greeted with warm smiles and hugs and complaints about the Steelers. 🙂 Rege was always there to talk about anything and give great advice toward this struggle that is life in the most hilarious and comforting ways. He will always be part of my growing up in Pittsburgh. My deepest condolences to all of you.

I was there when the romance began. Cindy and Rege were deeply in love and were an inspiration to all that knew them . I loved them both, and I could call at any time, and Rege would recognize my voice ….even after not being in contact for several years. My heart aches for those left behind. I felt that Cindy had found her perfect love. I felt that Rege had found his perfect love. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Shorts. I am always here for you Cindy. Hugs, Tina Cole
