Harry W. Jordan

Harry W. Jordan, 90 of Pittsburgh, PA formerly of Cincinnati, OH died Friday, November 2, 2018. Beloved husband to the late Sue Jordan, Brother of Darleen (the late Ron) Miller, Charles (Jan) Jordan and the late Beverly Jordan. Uncle of Wendy (Ken) Siefert, Rona (Dave) Stockey, Karen (Mark) Vinoverski, Arlene (Dan) Saffer, John (Nasrin) Jordan and David (Christine) Jordan. Also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Harry was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was proud to have worn a uniform to fight for all of our freedom. His very successful business career led to his employment with the Kroger Company, where he retired as the Executive Director of Communications and Data Processing. Harry “showed up for every game” and truly wanted and cared about the answer to his question, “What’s going on in your world?” He loved his wife of over fifty years, his commitment to his career, golf, the daily newspaper, cheap gin, and the endearing friendship with Maggie Stoker.

At the family’s request, all services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. Internment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA  15236.
